Happy Customer
I had issues ordering a pair of ladies white sneakers as the discount code would not work. I contacted the company by phone and Adriana was extremely helpful in assisting me with placing my order and arranging for the discount code amount to be refunded. She even went the extra mile and refunded my postage for all the inconvenience I experienced. Can’t get better customer service than that. In these difficult times it is unusual to get this level of customer care. Thank you so much. Haven’t received my sneakers but I’m sure there will not be any problems. Wouldn’t hesitate in ordering from Spartcoo again.

Ordered a pair of trainers from Spartoo…
Ordered a pair of trainers from Spartoo which are not available anywhere else as quite an old model. They arrived well packaged within a week and exactly what I was looking for. The enclosed delivery slip outlined a simple returns mechanism and I would buy again with confidence.
Can't unsubscribe.
Had to register to see the full range of products I wanted to view. I keep trying to unsubscribe by unchecking the relevant Newsletter Subscription Management and checking the Unsubscribe me boxes.
Tried all combinations but still stuck with unwanted
e mails. Would hate to see their ordering system.

Charged $ but order cancelled.
I ordered shoes two weeks ago and was charged. 2 days ago they cancelled the order, no reason given and the charges have not been reversed which means I will have to waste time with customer service on the phone.

Do not touch this Company with a bargepole
In November 2921 i managed to spot a pair of hiking boots on the Spartoo website that i was having difficulty sourcing elsewhere in the correct size and at an excellent price. After difficulty establishing an account I managed to order the boots but was confused about delivery- the website indicated free delivery and returns but the check out was for 2 options of, if I recall correctly, £4.99 or £12.99. I managed to get through to a very helpful chap in the Peterborough facility who confirmed the boots would be despatched from there and thus the lesser with the £12.99 option for goods ex a France warehouse. I was happy to pay the £4.99 to get the boots but had difficulty finally paying with either my debit or credit cards. My wife finally paid by her paypal account. After not receiving any sort of order confirmation I rang the 020....number some days later to be told the boots would be delivered the next Monday by UPS and to have the £45 customs duty ready to give the driver. I explaned that I had never been told by the Peterhead operative of any duty (and why should there be for a domestic despatch) and advised that this £45 extra now made the boots simply uneconomic and I immediately cancelled the order. I was told simply to refuse delivery by the UPS driver and the order would be refunded. This I did and mMy wife's Paypal account was credited swiftly within days.
All over I thought until I received the first of many UPS invoices for varying sums of money for customs and other charges. I rang UPS on 3 occasions but only managed to listen to canned music before the line went dead. A 4th call got through to a woman who said she could not help and put the phone down. During these many different UPS invoices I kept Spartoo fully informed and they advised that I was not responsible for the outstanding monies and they would sort things out. I obviousely did not even think about paying the UPS bills.
Then in March 22 I received a letter from controlaccount - UPS's debt collection "partner" threatening me with further action within 7 days if I did not sort the bills. I contacted them on the phone and explained that Sparoo were supposedly sorting things out. Again I kept Spartoo fully informed of the situation. On the 5th of April I received another Controlaccount letter threatening me with court action if i did nor pay up stating "This is your final opportunity to remedy this matter prioir to further action being taken" and "Act now-this won't go away" in large letters. I yet again contacted Spartoo who claimed they they had sorted things out with Controlaccount. But here we are in June 22 and I have still not had the threat of legal action against me withdrawn. Controlaccount acknowledge that Spartoo have sorted things out but willnot withdraw the threat of legal action because UPS are still investigating the matter and can give no timescale when things might be resolved.
On the 30th May in desperation I sent Spartoo an email hopefully for the attention of Mr. Saragallio, the boss of the Company but have received no reply despite chasing Spartoo up on several occasions since then.
I have neever been in debt and at age 71 and three quarters have no intention of starting and Controlaccount's promise not circulate my bad debt issue with other debt companies did little to comfort me.
So I would say use Spartoo at your peril- I hope one day their management may have the courteousy to contact me to sort things out. Everyone seems to agree that I have no responsibility/liability for this situation but noone seems interest in sorting the debacle out,
I would finally say that the ladies in the Spartoo office taking my innumerable call have been sympathetic, polite, very helpful and receptive to my situation and can now even identify me by my voice before I identify myself to them!
I thought it was bad and misleading…
I thought it was bad and misleading that on the page describing the product it said the product was eligible for a 15% discount using the code provided, but that once you get most of the way through check-out they tell you that the product is NOT eligible for the discount. Dishonest trickery, in my opinion.
After writing this review, I spoke with their customer service, who claimed the missing discount was a "temporary bug". They refunded the 15% back to my PayPal account. How convenient though, that the people who don't call to complain won't get the discount. In my case it was around £6 and covered the shipping costs. The website also misleadingly has FREE SHIPPING all over the place, as do their emails. You have to look much deeper to discover that the free shipping is only if the product in question is from their English warehouse. If it is from their warehouse in France, no free shipping. It would be better from a consumer rights point of view if they would indicate this more specifically instead of claiming a general "free shipping" when that applies to only some of their items. You shouldn't have to go looking for that info. Customer service personnel were at least friendly and helpful.
Refund required
I've made a purchase today for versache trainers worth over £150 the money has come from my bank and I've been told I've to upload personal identity documents which I am not willing to do I've emailed adriana@spartoo with my order details and I expect a refund as I'm not willing to risk my personal identity documents. Verification wants as much info as new loan!
Made 2 orders back to back, because I didn't see they had both styles of shoes I wanted. One email confirmed saying order would be here fast. Second order said verifying your identity. My bank said suspicious company, I had to over-ride. A couple minutes later, someone named Erin said she wanted me to upload full copy of my government identification, copies of bank statements, copies of bills. Upload to an insecure link. My phone blocked link because it unsecure. My Computer antivirus popped up saying scam alert! I've never had so much trouble buying flip flops! I'm not about to give my life away in information to someone that appears to want to open a mortgage in my name! They say it's rare, but strange this is not the first review on this topic!
